Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies results; our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Hosting systems retain normal server-log details, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use limited data to operate the service, resolve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve its pages. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual visitor profiles are not created.
External Services
County and Texas portals, library collections, archives, and outside search tools have their own privacy practices. Their policies govern data entered on those services, including data sent through sponsored-result tools.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic technical data described above. Information is disclosed only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes stated above. Because the site has no visitor accounts, it does not store an account password or account profile for a visitor.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not target children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service keeps. Since McLennan County Residents Directory retains very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs, then removing information found there. Use the Contact page to ask. Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public information held by government bodies; requests to remove or correct those records belong with the relevant custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Updates will appear here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
